David Guetta

David Guetta began DJing in Parisian night clubs when he was 17 years old. Starting out he played popular music that people were used to listening to, but switched to house and techno dance music after hearing the music on the radio. By the early 90's Guetta was playing a variety of French night clubs and had even started hosting his own club nights where patrons danced to his mix music.

He partnered with Joachim Garraud in 2001 to found his own production company, Gum Productions. Through this production company Guetta released his first hit single and debut album of the same name, Just a Little More Love. After the release of his first album, David Guetta's popularity began to grow as his songs started topping the charts in the UK, Ireland, and much of Europe. In 2008, Guetta toured the world with a French rapper named JoeyStarr, and he also collaborated with other musicians such as Tiesto, Carl Cox, and Martin Solveig on a dance event that took place in France.

David Guetta became a well-known name on the club scene, especially after being nominated in the top three of DJ Magazine's top 100 DJ's and the best house DJ by DJ Awards. He also started hosting his own DJ mix Internet radio show where he showcased house music and introduced up and coming musicians. By 2009, David Guetta was very popular around the UK, with many of his songs hitting number one on the music charts. With the release of his fourth album, One Love, in 2009, Guetta's reputation as a hardcore electronic/house music producer spread world wide with the number one hit, "Sexy Bitch", featuring rapper Akon.

David Guetta's popularity stems from his work with a number of famous celebrities who produce number one hit singles and albums all over the world. Some of his best-known music is Kelly Rowland's "When Love Takes Over," and the Black Eyed Peas song, "I Gotta Feeling." He's also produced urban dance music with Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, Flo Rida, Kelis, Ludacris, Taio Cruz, and Usher. In fact, urban dance music has grown exponentially since the release of "Sexy Bitch," and many in the music scene credit Guetta with the growth of this dance movement.

David Guetta's current focus is on adding some rock edge to his dance music. While he still focuses largely on house music and techno, he's using bands like Coldplay and Kings of Leon to add some rock influence to his newest productions. While he's experiencing major success and enjoys meeting some of the top musical names in the world, Guetta understands that he needs to blend repetitive dance music with melodies in order to maintain his success.

After winning numerous awards as the world's best DJ, international DJ and music producer, David Guetta find himself frequently collaborating with major artists.

Currently known as one of the best international DJ's and music producers in the world, and the man responsible for bringing chart topping dance music back to the United States, David Guetta continues to expand and grow as a music producer and DJ.
